Photo by Jon Mozo. I got my first water housing from Jon Mozo in 2003. I found him through a hand written ad in a photo lab in Honolulu. I went to his Haleiwa gallery & met him to buy the housing. He didn't just sell me it collect the cash and have me leave, he sat me down talked to me for awhile showed me the tricks of the housing, how to hold it, settings, talked about what I liked shooting. I feel he really impacted me from that moment of having the patience & desire to help others with their careers. I see a lot of my images reflecting his same style and colors through out. Unfortunately in 2005, Jon passed away while shooting photos at Backdoor on the North Shore. Tonight at 6pm at Dole Theater on Oahu a documentary on Jon's life & passion has been made to share with the world what a great human in & out of the water he truly was.
